A Photo Walk with the Sony A7S at a Japanese Summer Festival

Join me on a photo walk of a beautiful Japanese garden that was holding a summer festival. For this outing, I decided to work with some older equipment to see what kind of results I could get.  Check out the full video on YouTube:   This was the second day of the event. It had rained on the first day, so I think that had an effect on this day; there wasn't quite as much going on as I had seen in previous years, but it was still fun to check out! Sony ZV-E10 & Viltrox 28mm f/4.5 pancake lens Photowalk

In this article, I'm going over my experiences with this setup. It's a Sony ZV-E10, which is video-focused, but I used it for mostly photography with a Viltrox 28mm f4.5 "pancake" lens. It's a very compact setup, which is great. But considering this is a video-focused camera, there are some quirks. And this lens itself is very unique. So, let's check it out.  Check out the video on YouTube for more visuals of the lens and results:  Viltrox AF 28mm f/4.5 FE Lens (Sony E):  B&H: https://bhpho.to/40cwMTy   Amazon: https://amzn.to/4kz4qdt   ebay: https://ebay.us/MKVVgC   Sony ZV-E10 Camera:  B&H: https://bhpho.to/3DinRYz   Amazon: https://amzn.to/3Iif1w9   ebay: https://ebay.us/IBY0sq   As an affiliate of these shops, I earn from qualifying purchases! Optimizing my video recording setup again.

I've been working a bit on my hands-on video recording setup again. It's a simple mod, but every little change helps refine how well it works in practice. Let's take a look!  Check out the video on YouTube : The 3-pack of USB 2.0 extension cables:  https://amzn.to/3XNWDzP   The powered microphone:  https://amzn.to/4iGnGFe   Atomos Ninja V recorders:  https://bhpho.to/3R5FH48 https://amzn.to/4bLJlcS As an affiliate of these shops, I earn from qualifying purchases!  The packaging for three USB extension cables. The package included five hook-and-loop straps, which is always handy for cable management. There are three cables in total. You'd think 3 or 6 ties would make more sense than 5, but whatever. The hook-and-loop straps. I've been using a shorter USB extension cable to power a AA to USB battery power adapter for a microphone that I use with my camera setup.  My camera setup with a microphone, monitor, and various accessories. The connector on m...
