Demo Product Collaboration

Here are my terms regarding content I create featuring demo products that you send to me. Content created is solely owned by me and published to my various accounts on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Blue Sky, Snapchat, Amazon, Twitch, Facebook, and articles for my website. I'm open to other social platforms but you'd need to specify which you'd be interested in.

If you attempt to send me a package from a foreign country and there is an import fee attached, please understand that I won't pay the fee. You would need to provide the funds so that I can have the product released to me.

I need to know if your product is being crowdfunded. Crowdfunding means websites like Indiegogo, Kickstarter, and GoFundMe. Please tell me if your products are being offered through this method so I can decide before agreeing to have something sent to me.

What content do I produce from products sent to me? The guaranteed format is a live stream unboxing. Please keep in mind there is no guarantee I will produce everything on this list unless we agree to specific formats.

  • A live stream where I unbox the product, spend time learning about its specifications, try it indoors, and talk to chat. This is the primary format that I produce. It includes my fully unfiltered thoughts and first impressions. This will likely be simulcast on my YouTube channel, Twitch, and Amazon Live (if the product is available there). I might integrate additional platforms such as TikTok and Instagram in the future but those platforms represent technical challenges to multi-casting. On YouTube, I will make one video clip from the live stream with their built-in clipping feature if there is a relevant continuous section of the live stream I want to feature as a traditional video.
  • A one minute or less vertical video posted on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts based on the live stream footage. We can discuss a production fee to guarantee this happens.
  • A produced full length video that will go on YouTube and Amazon if the product is available there. We can discuss a production fee to guarantee this happens.
  • Amazon influencer page photos. This is only possible if the products are sold on Amazon.
  • A website article, we can discuss a production fee to guarantee this happens.

Here are my collaboration terms that must be agreed to:

  1. Unless requested by you, the products will stay in my possession. If you want the products returned then we can discuss a fee beforehand to offset my production expenses. I will make exceptions, but we need to discuss details beforehand. In addition to my production fee, you will need to pay for shipping with a 100% markup on the final shipping cost due to handling expenses and transfer fees.
  2. The live stream and any other content I might produce is not be considered a review, but rather an exploration of your products in my unique style. I will include my honest opinion of what I find good about the products and what I think can be improved. I will mention any flaws or issues I ran into while using the products. No products are perfect, especially for everyone. Viewers will not respond well to unrealistically positive assessment. Your business should understand this before working with me or marketing your products in general. Happy customers are well informed customers that receive fair and honest information.
  3. Any work I produce regarding the products such as live streams, videos, photos, and website articles are copyrighted by me. You can share any of my social media posts I make or share the video links with the related thumbnail and teaser text, but you are not allowed to download and re-post my work and/or writings in full on your social media, website, or any other forms of advertisement such as print without my permission.
  4. You are allowed to take a few screen-grabs of the stream for your own social media posts as long as it links to the original content.
  5. You are allowed to use short video clips of the live stream or other videos in social media posts as long as it links to the original content.
  6. All of your promotion involving me must directly link to what I produced about the products. You are not allowed to use my likeness to promote your products where I’m being indirectly used to sell them. If you want that level of promotion, such as in a product ambassador role, then please contact me with a proposition.
  7. There is no specific time frame for video production, but usually it takes a month or less. I will keep you updated on progress and will contact you if any issues arise.
  8. In the case that I am incapable of producing any content such as the live stream unboxing, I will make a reasonable attempt to contact you about returning the products, but I can’t give you an absolute guarantee. There is always the chance of fires, theft, and other extreme circumstances I don’t have control of. Understand that there is some level of risk for you in this collaboration. Here is a YouTube playlist of successful collaborations.
  9. When my content is complete, I will notify you that it has been published. I will not delete or edit anything unless I made an important technical/specification mistake. If there is a technical mistake in the video then I will make a reasonable attempt to correct it. I will clip out sections if the platform supports that feature. This does not include anything regarding my opinion unless it relates to a feature I didn’t understand properly.
  10. Any content will include my affiliate links to the products such as on Amazon, B&H, and eBay depending on where you sell your products. I will also link to your website if desired.
  11. I make a best effort in all of my work, but keep in mind that I ultimately have little control over how popular my content becomes. Some of my work turn out to be successful and others do not. I make no guarantees regarding reach.
  12. I will not take requests regarding video title, thumbnail image, or general content in anything that I produce. Statements like “The best product(s) for XYZ!” must solely be based on my opinion and not based on suggestions or requests from your company. You can tell me about important features of the products or aspects of the products you are most proud of. I will take that into consideration, but all of it will be based on my discretion and focus on doing what’s best for my audience. I want to inform my audience so that they understand what they are buying.

I will not create Amazon.com customer reviews. That is against their terms of service.

I have an Amazon.com based Affiliate Storefront. The videos I produce might be uploaded there if it fits Amazon’s submission requirements. Those videos can potentially be visible on linked product pages in addition to my storefront, but that depends on Amazon’s Creator Hub video recommendation system. I have no control over that.

  • Revised 12/25/2025: Shifting my focus to live unboxings of demo products with the potential of other formats if it is viable from a time perspective.
  • Revised 9/29/2025: Significant changes to my terms with a focus on live content and other work that I produce.
  • Revised 9/13/2025: Modifying my wording for the tariff and de minimis exception situation.
  • Revised 5/24/2025: Due to import fees I can't accept packages sent from outside of the USA.
  • Revised 11/19/2024: Adjusted the placement of the Amazon specific information. I added information about not joining manufacturer affiliate programs. I also revised and added to my wording of fair analysis of products I receive.
  • Revised 09/13/2024: Added a mention of generally not accepting crowdfunded products.
  • Revised 01/06/2024: Amazon storefront link change.
  • Revised 01/18/2022: I also added a 100% markup of the final shipping cost to the mention of when companies want me to send/return a device. This is due to currency conversion fees, money transfer fees, packaging costs, and time spend related to that.
  • Revised: 07/03/2021: Significant revisions to make it easier to understand. I made the mention of using my likeness clearer. I made the mention of no requests for specific video titles, thumbnails, and content direction clearer.
  • Revised: 12/18/2020: Significant changes such as adding the copyright mention.

Nikon Z5ii Announced and My Thoughts vs the Original Z5

The Nikon Z5ii was announced recently. I haven't actually used this new camera myself, so keep that in mind. This is going to be mostly me looking at the specs and comparing it to the original Nikon Z5, which I've been using for a few years now. Check out the full video on YouTube:   The original Nikon Z5 camera. Overall, the original Z5 isn't a bad camera. I've gotten it to a point where it works how I want it to and it's reliable for what I do.  My main use case is often anime and comic conventions, going there and taking photos of people in cosplay. I usually use the 40mm f/2 lens on the Z5, and it works well for that.  First-person view using the Nikon Z5 at an anime convention. Nikon Z5ii vs Z5: The Spec Sheet Comparison  Nikon has a handy comparison section on their Z5ii page, so let's break down some key differences based on that and my experience with the original. EF-M Sigma 56mm vs. Viltrox 56mm

I was curious how the two native Canon EF-M 56mm f/1.4 lenses compared. Is one better in image quality or features than the other? At least right now there is a significant price difference between the two. Check out the embedded video to see how it goes!  Sigma and Viltrox 56mm lenses Check out the YouTube video here : Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Canon EF-M: B&H: https://bhpho.to/3bNQUjk Amazon: https://amzn.to/3cC8pUb ebay: http://ebay.us/5Q3NxW Used on KEH: https://shrsl.com/2b947 Viltrox 56mm f/1.4 AF lens for Canon EF-M: Amazon: https://amzn.to/39sl5Pa B&H: https://bhpho.to/3nXMoF0 ebay: http://ebay.us/b4IRWE As an affiliate of these shops, I earn from qualifying purchases!  Here are the notes I wrote up while compiling data and deciding what I should mention in the video. Physical properties of the lens: The Sigma lens is shorter but thicker than the Viltrox.   Weight is 280g for the Sigma and 290g for the Viltrox. Sigma: 66.5mm x 59.5m...

7Artisans 50mm f/1.8 for Nikon Z-mount Overview

In this overview, I'm taking a look at the 7Artisans 50mm f/1.8 lens for the Nikon Z system. Is it worth considering over the official Nikon Z 50mm f/1.8s lens? I also compare it with the Nikon Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 kit lens at 50mm.  Check out the full video on YouTube :  7Artisans sent me this lens to try out based on my  collaboration terms . They had no say in the content produced and were not allowed to preview it.  Build Quality & Handling 7Artisans and Nikon lens side-by-side. The 7Artisans 50mm f/1.8 is similar in size to Nikon's 50mm f/1.8s, although it's slightly taller and a bit thinner. Both lenses feature a manual/auto focus switch, but I found that the one on the 7Artisans lens requires less travel and is easier to push, which isn't ideal. You might accidentally switch modes while handling the lens. Something I found myself doing a couple of times on my photowalk. The AF/MF switch and aperture adjustment ring. The manual focus ring on the 7Artisans lens...
