Midwest FurFest 2024 Photography

I took a trip with some friends to the Midwest FurFest 2024. I'm just now getting to the edit of the video and this website article. This was my first time at this particular convention, and it was a very interesting experience. I've been to one other furry convention, Anthrocon back in 2017, and I found the two events to be quite different.  Check out the video on YouTube that this article is based on:  If you want to see more photos I do have galleries of the two convention on my Cosplay Banzai facebook page: The Midwest FurFest 2024 photo gallery. Or check out my Anthrocon 2017 gallery.   A first-person view of Midwest FurFest 2024 entrance area of the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center . My Camera Gear and Settings for Convention Photography For this event, I was using my usual Nikon Z5, but I paired it with a 28mm f/2.8 lens. Considering that most fursuits make people physically larger, it makes more sense to use a wider angle lens than the 40mm I typically use at...

Product photography with Immi Ramen

Today, I'm going to cover a product photoshoot I did with some Immi branded instant ramen. The company sent me the products at no cost, so just keep that in mind as we go. The plan was to take photos of the packaging and the prepared ramen, and then I'll give it a try myself and share my thoughts. Check out the video on YouTube for a lot more information and photos:  Related videos & playlists:  7Artisans 85mm f/1.8 for Nikon Z Overview LCD monitor as a backdrop for photography My videos on the Nikon Z5 camera. Included with the ramen was a bag of Veggie Topping Mix, which should add some nice visual interest to the final photos once the ramen is cooked. JLab Pop Cam USB Webcam Overview

Today I'm taking a look at this JLab Pop Cam. My main goal is to see if it can replace my current top-down camera, which has a frustrating issue. I also think it would be useful to do a side-by-side comparison with the Sony A6000 that I use as my main webcam. It's important for me to mention that I was sent this camera at no cost. However, this is my own independent review, and no company had any say in the actual content of the video or this article.  Check out the YouTube video for more tests and information: The JLab Pop Cam in its retail packaging JLab Pop Cam Specifications Looking at the box, the specifications are pretty straightforward for a webcam. It features a 1080p resolution that captures video at 30 frames per second. The camera has a 2.1-megapixel sensor, an 80-degree field of view with fixed focus, and an adjustable clip. It's compatible with PC, Mac, and Chromebook. The camera also includes a built-in privacy shutter and has an attached five-foot USB-A cab...

Sony ZV-E10 & Viltrox 28mm f/4.5 pancake lens Photowalk

In this article, I'm going over my experiences with this setup. It's a Sony ZV-E10, which is video-focused, but I used it for mostly photography with a Viltrox 28mm f4.5 "pancake" lens. It's a very compact setup, which is great. But considering this is a video-focused camera, there are some quirks. And this lens itself is very unique. So, let's check it out.  Check out the video on YouTube for more visuals of the lens and results:  Holding the Sony ZV-E10 with the Viltrox 28mm f/4.5 lens attached. I went to a beautiful Japanese-style garden in my area to take photos. It's a nice spot for casual photography. Considering that, I wanted to go as simple as possible with settings, so I was mostly using program mode with this setup. In photography, Program Mode, often indicated by a 'P' on the camera's mode dial, is an automatic shooting mode. In this mode, the camera automatically sets the aperture, shutter speed, and usually the ISO to achieve a c...
